The city\u2019s government has committed 1 billion Hong Kong dollars ($125.5 million) to AI research and development while expanding the supercomputing capacity of Cyberport, a major innovation hub for emerging technologies. This investment highlights Hong Kong\u2019s ambition to leverage AI for economic growth and technological leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strengthening AI and Web3 Through Cyberport<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Exceeding all expectations, Cyberport, which is the tech center funded by the government, filled with AI, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/criptonizando.com\/en\/educational\/what-is-blockchain\/\"   title=\"blockchain\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"503\">blockchain<\/a> and Web3 startups, has over extended its hand in aiding the growth of Nirvana Technologies. Over 270 blockchain companies and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyberport.hk\/files\/67bf62234d54c032589016\/%5BPress%20Release%5D%20Cyberport%20Welcomes%20the%202025-2026%20Budget%20for%20Its%20Continued%20Support%20for%20the%20Acceleration%20of%20I&amp;T%20Development.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">more than 350 AI<\/a> and big data startups have already set up their offices in Cambodia, and this is only the beginning of a promising bond. The campaign is also spearheading the development of the Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Institute with primary funding gathered through other initiatives, which is supposed to aid in the commercialization, innovation, and development of research and AI integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cyberport Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Centre(AISC) is set to receive great changes as well. On February 27, Cyberport held the forum \u201cAI Safety, Trust, and Responsibility,\u201d which convened international AI academic institutions to explore the ethics of AI use and risk mitigation strategies. It was awarded in collaboration with the World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA), which has plans for setting up the WDTA Asia-Pacific Institute at Cyberport, with primary emphasis on ethical AI building and responsible innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an effort to foster additional AI and Web3 talent, Hong Kong earmarked 3 billion Hong Kong dollars, which is approximately $385.6 million, to initiate a three year AI Subsidy Scheme facilitated through Cyberport. Initiatives also include collaborations with universities and other institutions to create internship and employment opportunities for students.
